The new search engine from Microsoft that has replaced its Live! search was launched this month with only a tiny fraction of the £100 million budget spent. Despite that, Bing has swiftly come the second most popular search engine behind Google. Whether this trend continues or can just be put down to people being curious about how it works only time will tell.
In the meantime, you might like to check out Bing's features with an eye to using it for your searches. Importantly, if you have a website then you might also want to check that your website has been indexed properly and is showing all of your pages. Microsoft say they are still tweaking the search algorithm and welcome feedback.
For our part, EI are working with search engine optimisation partners to make sure that we're able to continue to build websites that are able to be optimised for all of the major search engines. We're also feeding back to Microsoft on usability and ranking.
