At the website training seminars that EI deliver we are often telling delegates that pay-per-click advertising for Google and Yahoo! etc works but that they should be aware that some of the audience will never ever ever click on them.
While this may seem strange to some, it appears that maybe half of you reading this newsletter will feel the same. A recent question from Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert forum brought it home just how many don't trust these paid-for promotions. Reading through the comments on the forum was equally as enlightening.
So it appears that the main search results (the "organic" ones) are really important which is why EI are trying to get their message across that spending time and effort optimizing your site for the organic listing is time well spent.
