How often have you had a conversation with your web developer that perhaps stopped just short of an argument. As a web development company, we've been on the receiving end of many (thankfully, not many that we haven't resolved satisfactorily!).
Although we are already producing project plans for website technical builds and the way things work we have found that these documents ' no matter how well they are written - are often quite dry and the customer has difficulty in visualising the resulting outcome. And therein lies the benefit of producing a screenshot of what a form might look like, how an email data may be displayed or the way and intranet screen will display a pie chart.
But don't be confused; we're not talking about the design of the site here. That is often signed off well before we get to this stage but doesn't capture every eventuality or situation that may arise.
So next time you work with a website developer and are having problems visualising the outcome of a particular design element then ask your developer to provide a screenshot - you'll probably find, like us, that it saves thousands of potential arguments!
