All of the reports that I have researched have identified Digital Exclusion is an important factor in ensuring that communities and individuals are able to partake of services and opportunities. It's good to see that the sentiment is underlined by the UK Government's report on its digital strategy which was published yesterday.
The affect that this increase in broadband penetration is going to have on the possibility of delivering services to previously excluded areas can not be ignored. At the moment, EI are working on a project which is due for launch shortly that helps with transport planning in rural areas. We hope to see more of these kinds of projects in the future.
