Portable Document Format (PDF) has long been established as an excellent medium for the web - particularly when layout, security or size are factors. Indeed, many of the applications that EI write generate custom PDFs which give the end user the ability download and keep the document in a much nicer way than simply saving the web page.
I have been reading through an eBook in PDF format which I keep coming back to and found a useful feature in Adobe PDF Reader 9 that stores the last page you were on - like a bookmark - when you close the document.
To activate this feature all you need to do is click on Edit > Preferences … and then select Documents from the menu on the left. Finally, put a tick in the first option Restore last view settings when reopening documents. I promise, it will save you hours of scrolling!
