A Combined Search Engine Threat

After we commented on Bing last month it seems that the advice is not to get too friendly with it. The reason for the caution comes from the news that Yahoo! and Microsoft may well be joining forces to provide a combined effort search engine that will rival Google. Apparently, the deal is in the final stages of negotiation.

For most people this will mean they will be on the receiving end of a concerted effort to get them to switch from Google to the new entity, so stand by for some serious marketing.
